Magnified and Precious in His Sight!

This little beauty got a hold of my large magnifying mirror. It was in the same spot as always, but her curiosity got the best of her and she managed to get her hands on it. Her precious little features were even more beautiful to me as I watched her looking at herself…..fully exposed.  Every little nook and cranny of her face was being magnified and it was so sweet and innocent.

I couldn’t help but think of how our beautiful faces (and lives) look to God. They are precious and oh so sweet to him. Every nook and cranny is magnified and exposed to him, at all times, and he loves us anyways. He loves and accepts us just as we are.

I found myself reflecting on the important’s of my life always magnifying and exemplifying him. I pray that her life, as it unfolds, always does the same. That she grows up not worrying about what the world says about her. I know she will always be beautiful to me, but It means much more to me that she knows and believes how beautiful and precious she is in his sight. Oh how He loves her!

Since that day, I have found myself looking into that same mirror and quietly whispering something like this…. “Lord let everything in my life exalt you. Let me be a reflection of You.  When the world tries to magnify or reveal my faults to me, remind me, that you love my every nook and cranny!  That I am precious in your sight.  And just as I saw Kayleigh that day fully exposed, let my life remain sweet, innocent and even more beautiful when magnified through your eyes!”

Psalm 34:3  “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.”
